Significant Transactions on Transgaz Shares
In a session with moderate liquidity, the shares of the Romanian national natural gas transporter made their way to the top three stocks by transaction volume at the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB).
This session saw corrections on major global stock markets, nevertheless, in Bucharest, the BET index gained 0.38%, reaching 17,504.64 points, driven by a 0.70% increase to 28.90 lei/share in Banca Transilvania (TLV) shares, which also recorded the largest trades of the day, totaling 8.93 million lei.
The stock market turnover was moderate, at 46.28 million lei (9.30 million euros), including a special transfer within the deal market, worth 6.18 million lei, made with OMV Petrom (SNP) shares. The petroleum company’s shares also reached transaction volumes equivalent to 1.90 million lei on the regulated market, where the price rose by 0.82% to 0.7360 lei/share.
Likewise in the energy field, whose sector index BET-NG rose by 0.45%, Transgaz (TGN) shares increased by 9.86%, reaching 29.25 lei/share, with the second-highest transaction volume of the session, amounting to 8.31 million lei. This performance is supported by the proposed gross dividend of 1.0800 lei/share, submitted for approval at the annual General Shareholders’ Meeting. Prospects are that it may increase, given that the Government expressed its intention today to collect up to 90% of the net profit from state-owned companies in the form of dividends.
With a turnover of 3.72 million lei, MedLife (M) shares jumped by 3.05% to 6.4200 lei/share. Additionally, four other stocks exceeded the 1 million lei transaction threshold, each moving in different directions: +0.50% to 4.0200 lei/share for Transport Trade Services (TTS), +0.41% to 122.50 lei/share for Hidroelectrica (H2O), -0.79% to 0.3750 lei/share for Fondul Proprietatea (FP), and +0.17% to 6.0400 lei/share for Romgaz (SNG).
