Today, 28.08.2025, Ion Sterian, General Manager of SNTGN Transgaz SA, paid a working visit to the investment objective of the “Black Sea Coast-Podișor” natural gas transmission pipeline, an investment completed according to the execution schedule and which is currently in the reception phase.

The working visit was carried out in the area of the SR2 Tuzla valve station together with the project manager of UIMP (Project Management Implementation Unit), Victor Gurgu and other specialists. The SR2 station also includes a pipeline well system, and the cleaning and drying activities of the pipeline were verified for the start of the first stage of gas takeover from the LNG gas terminals in Greece and Turkey, including gas from Azerbaijan, with the second stage to be achieved by taking over gas from Neptun Deep at the end of 2027.

Also today, Ion Sterian paid a working visit to the construction site of the Neptun Deep facility, a facility that is currently under construction. The facility represents the largest gas reception and measurement station (SRM) on the territory and in the history of Romania, with a flow rate of one million cubic meters per hour. The station receives gas from the Black Sea perimeter, a perimeter concessioned by SNGN Romgaz SA and OMV Petrom. The facility will enter into operation starting at the end of 2027.
